As September rolls along, the Saint Ignatius JV golf teams are performing well.

The JV Gold team earned a win over Walsh Jesuit on Wednesday in the team's first dual match of the year, and the JV Blue team has enjoyed favorable results in the last two weeks.

The men of Tom Beach played at Sleepy Hollow on Wednesday, matching up with the Warriors of Walsh Jesuit. The JV Gold Cats combined for a team score of 160, besting Walsh Jesuit's 187.

Connor Warns led the way with an impressive 35 on the day. MJ Myers continued a strong 2018 campaign with a score of 42. Jess Saunders, Matt Giberti, and Zach Hazard all finished close together, competing for the third-best score on the squad. Saunders notched a 42, Giberti tallied a 43, and Hazard tabbed a 44, as the three finished in short succession. JR Leedy rounded out the pack with a 46 on the afternoon.

The JV Gold Cats are back in action on Sunday, taking part in the Lion Classic at Quail Hollow.

Meanwhile, the JV Blue team has been busy with dual matches. Tom Bogen's boys have won three straight matches, advancing to 5-1 on the season.

The Wildcats' last three wins have come against Rocky River at Big Met (162-174), Padua at Sleepy Hollow (167-239), and Hudson (167-171). The JV Blue squad has consistently scored in the 160s, signaling a continued bright future for the Golf Cats.

The JV Blue boys have some time off until the team's next match on September 20 vs. Rocky River at Sleepy Hollow.
