For the second time this season, the Wildcats' outstanding freshman Topher Reed has carded a round in the 60's.

Reed penciled in an impressive 68 on Saturday at Windmill Lakes at the University School Invitational. Reed's amazing score led the Saint Ignatius varsity golf team to second place at the tournament.

Reed has been a marvel for fans to behold this season. Reed won medalist honors at the tournament, adding another feather to his cap during a breakout season.

As a team, the Wildcats have competed in seven tournaments. The Golf Cats have finished in first or second in six of those tournaments. The Wildcats' worst finish this year? Third place.

Behind Reed, Andrew Kaye tallied the next best score with a 77. Andrew Martin trailed close behind with a 78 and Ross Williamson tabbed a 79 on the day. Jake Moraca (82) and Nick Longano (85) rounded things out for the Wildcats.

The JV Gold Cats also enjoyed a solid day, scoring a 15th place score of 344 amidst mostly varsity squads. Zach Hazard notched the top score with an 82. Jess Saunders came close behind the top Wildcat, carding an 83. Connor Warns tallied an 89 and JR Leedy nabbed a 90 at Windmill Lakes. MJ Myers (92) and Matt Giberti (102) completed the effort for the Wildcats.
