Saint Ignatius Head Coach Brad Ganor confirmed what Junior Varsity Baseball mainstay Ted Eyink shared with us at Thursday evening's St. Edward at Saint Ignatius JV game, that his older brother Jack, one of the top players in all of Northeast Ohio, will be furthering his education and baseball career at the University of Cincinnati.

Jack, an outstanding senior outfielder, a savvy base runner and one of the top hitters in the seven-county area, chose the Bearcats after considering an offer from St. Bonaventure and interest from Ohio University and Dayton.

"I’m very excited for Jack," said Coach Ganor. "He had put in a lot of hard work and it’s paying off. I think Cincinnati is getting a true blue chip player and I have no doubt he will have a huge impact on their program."

As we reported on the corner earlier this week, a member of the University of Cincinnati's Baseball Staff was at Monday evening's home game versus University School and witnessed what was another solid in all phases game from Jack.

Congratulations from this corner go out to Jack, his family, Coach Ganor and the entire Saint Ignatius Baseball Program.
