Neeko, a two-year letter winner and the Wildcats' Most Valuable Offensive Player for the 2017-18 season, represented Saint Ignatius on cleveland.com's "Best of the Best" area basketball team.

As we reported on the corner near the end of the regular season, Neeko joined teammate Jon Barnes as Honorable Mentions on the Division I All-Northeast Lakes District Team. Jon was the Wildcats' Most Valuable Defensive Player and also a two-year letter winner.

Congratulations from this corner also go out to Solon's outstanding senior guard and Duquesne recruit Sincere Carry, who was selected as the area's Player of the Year, and Solon Head Coach Tony DeCesare, a former Basketball Wildcat, for being named the seven-county area's Coach of the Year.

Joining Carry on the Best of the Best first-team were Michael Bothwell from Cornerstone Christian, Jerry Higgins from Villa Angela-St. Joseph, Pete Nance of Revere and Dwayne Cohill of Holy Name.
