Mother Nature intervened this weekend, but no act of nature can keep the Rugby Cats and the Men of Moeller from facing off.

The Wildcats and Crusaders have rescheduled their rugby tripleheader for Saturday, May 12.

The times will remain the same – Saint Ignatius Developmental/U16 vs. Moeller C-side at 12 pm, Saint Ignatius B-side vs. Moeller B-side at 1:15 pm, and the premier matchup between the Saint Ignatius A-side and the Moeller A-side at 2:30 pm.

The Crusaders snuck away with a gritty 19-12 win on Wasmer Field last season in the A-side match. The Wildcats will be thinking about last year's match during the 4-hour bus ride south to Cincinnati.

The teams are on opposite tracks to start the season. The Wildcats have won 5 straight to start the season, landing the top spot in the FloRugby United States single-school rankings. The Crusaders have dealt with injuries keeping out almost half the A-side squad starters, resulting in big losses to St. Xavier and Penn. Moeller did defeat St. Xavier (KY), however, advancing to 1-2 overall.

As a result of the Wildcats' matches with Moeller, the Saint Ignatius vs. Avon/Highland matches originally scheduled for Friday, May 11 will be pushed forward one day to Thursday, May 10. The times remain the same.

This weekend, the Rugby Cats will practice and rest up for their big trip to South Africa over Easter break.
