UPDATE:  Saturday's matches vs. Moeller have been canceled.

Experts across the country are taking note of the Saint Ignatius rugby team's 5-0 start.

Following the Rugby Cats' wins over Penn and West Shore this weekend, FloRugby placed Saint Ignatius atop its Boys High School Single-School Rankings.

Previously ranked No. 2 last week, a 26-10 victory over Penn and a 71-14 triumph over West Shore pushed the Cats to the top. Penn resided in the top 10 earlier this year.

The Wildcats have also beaten No. 3 Gonzaga (DC) this season, 19-14. Sacramento Jesuit (CA) sits at No. 2, Xavier (NY) holds No. 4, and Herriman (UT) rounds out the top 5.

In an interesting matchup next week, the St. Edward Eagles will face Jesuit during a West Coast swing on Easter break. The Eagles are not ranked in the top 5, but are certainly one of the top teams in the nation, too.

Up next for the Wildcats is a showdown with Archbishop Moeller on Saturday. The Rugby Cats will look to avenge last season's regular season defeat to the Crusaders. Dealing with injuries, Moeller has scuffled so far this year, dropping contests to St. Xavier (24-3) and Penn (57-0). The Crusaders most recently beat St. Xavier of Kentucky, 19-12.

Following the trip to Cincinnati, the Rugby Cats will head to South Africa for the World School's Rugby Festival at Paarl Boys Academy outside of Cape Town. The Wildcats will face Outeniqua of South Africa at 4 pm locally, 10 am EST. Outeniqua is about 5 hours east of Cape Town, located just a 15 minute drive north of the South Atlantic Ocean.

The Wildcats' second and final match will be against Oakdale of South Africa. The match will take place at 1 pm local time, or 7 am EST. Oakdale is about a 3-hour-and-45-minute drive east of Cape Town.
