One member of the Saint Ignatius wrestling team's senior class made a large impact last weekend.

A consistent force to be reckoned with, this Wildcat grappler is the student-athlete of the week thanks to his great performance last weekend and throughout the season.

That senior is Logan Toth.

The Wildcats' 170-pounder won both matches against his foes from North Canton Hoover and North Royalton last weekend. Even more impressive, Toth pinned them both, clinching 12 big team points in the two victories.

Toth's success is nothing new. Toth has quietly led the Mat Cats to a 9-2 record in dual matches this season, providing steady leadership for the Wildcats.

On the year, Toth has a 23-10 overall record with 120 team points. Toth tops the team with a whopping 19 pins. The wily senior also sits high in the team leaderboard in reversals (12), escapes (25), and nearfalls (18).

The regular season wraps up for the Mat Cats on Thursday evening. Toth and the squad will host Lake Catholic at Sullivan Gym at 7 pm. Toth will look to end the campaign on a high note before the start of a hopefully a long tournament run, beginning with Sectionals on Saturday, February 24.
