Ohio City - After a tension-packed weekend that saw Coach Brian Becker's 'Cats defeat then fifth-ranked Garfield Heights, 72-59, and lose a one-point thriller to Cleveland Central Catholic, which is now ranked third, the Wildcats moved from ninth to the eighth spot in the seven-county area's Top 25 rankings.

Continuing to hold down cleveland.com's top two spots are the undefeated Solon Comets and the St. Edward Eagles. St. Edward is unbeaten in the seven-county area.

Saint Ignatius is gearing up for Thursday night's home game versus the John Marshall Lawyers and Saturday's night's trip to Benedictine to face the 13th-ranked and currently 10-4 Bengals.

As always, this corner will preview the matchups with the Lawyers and the Bengals later this week.

Here is a look at the area's current Top 10 teams.

 1. Solon (13-0); 2. St. Edward (14-3); 3. Cleveland Central Catholic (11-2 and on a seven-game winning streak); 4. Stow (13-1); 5. Brunswick (13-2); 6. Shaker Heights (8-5); 7. Brush (12-4); 8. Saint Ignatius (9-4); 9. Garfield Heights (7-5) and 10. St. Vincent-St. Mary (9-6).

In what is a game to watch tonight (Monday), the Ironmen of Cleveland Central Catholic travel to The LeBron James Arena to face the young, but oh so promising Fighting Irish of St. Vincent-St. Mary. After a tough game with the Wildcats on Saturday night it's a short turnaround for the Ironmen, to say the least.

Have a great week and drive safely.
