The Alley Cats ended their regular season on a disappointing note. Not only is it sad to see the regular season end, but it is unfortunate to see it end in such a way.

For its final match, the Saint Ignatius bowling team faced off against Garfield Heights, and came in short for each of the three games.

After the first, there was a shot that the team could close the relatively slim gap between them, but as the other games progressed, the gap grew by a little bit each time, until it became incredibly unlikely to fill in the bakers.

Bowling his last regular season game at Ignatius was captain and senior Anthony Doran, who ended the season with an impressive 602 series, with a high game of 210. The team will be sad to see him go.

As a result of the loss, the Wildcats will not be eligible for the Greater Cleveland Interscholastic Bowling League (GCIBL) Championships after finishing the year at 4-5 in OHSAA points.

The Wildcats are anxiously awaiting the Sectionals Tournament on February 17 at Game of Wickliffe. The Alley Cats hope to end the season on a high note.
