Joyce (pictured here) inspired fear in opposing quarterbacks all season.

Ohio City - Cam and Logan were also honored this season as first-team selections on the Division I Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association's All-Ohio Team and the Division I All-Northeast Lakes District Team.

Toppin, one of the premier coverage corners in all of Ohio the past two seasons, helped lead the Wildcats to an 11-2 record and their 28th OHSAA big-school playoff appearance by intercepting six passes, including two highlight-reel picks in the end zone. The Football 'Cats finished as the Region 1 runner-up to the state runner-up Mentor Cardinals.

Cam totaled 44.5 tackles, including 37 unassisted stops, had nine pass breakups and blocked a kick. He was also a key member of the special teams, returning 12 kickoffs for 219 yards.

Joyce, the Most Valuable Player in the Great American Rivalry Series victory over St. Edward, had an exceptional season from his outside/edge linebacker position.

Logan was in on 86 tackles, including 26 stops behind the line of scrimmage that resulted in a total of -minus 87 yards. He finished with 5.5 sacks totaling -minus 37 yards, had 12 quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and three fumble recoveries.

This seasoned reporter congratulates Cam and Logan, two of the finest young men I have ever had the privilege to be associated with.

A tip of this corner's cap also goes out to the Cleveland Heights Tigers' outstanding defensive lineman/tight end Tyreke Smith, who was chosen as the seven-county area Defensive Player of the Year by Cleveland.com. Tyreke, who just recently competed against the Wildcats in basketball, has his many college football offers down to The Ohio State University , Penn State, Alabama, the University of Southern California and Oregon.
