The Wildcats dropped a spot in cleveland.com's area rankings after Saturday's win.

The 5-0 'Cats, who defeated Cincinnati Elder, 30-28, in "The Pit" on Saturday afternoon, are ranked second to St. Edward (5-0) in the latest area high school football poll by Cleveland.com. Saint Ignatius and St. Edward were 1-2, respectively, from the first preseason poll to entering Week 5.

A "barometer" for the switch by Cleveland.com was the difference in the final scores of the games the Wildcats and the Eagles played versus Elder. St. Edward defeated Elder, 40-7, in Week 4 at Bedford's Bearcat Stadium.

The Wildcats and the Eagles will meet in their traditional rivalry game, which is the regular-season finale, on Saturday, October 28th at 7 PM in First Federal Lakewood Stadium, aka "The Madhouse on Madison."

 Rounding out Cleveland.com's Top 10 this week are 3. Canton McKinley (5-0); 4. Avon (5-0); 5. Mentor (4-1); 6. Archbishop Hoban (4-1); 7. Hudson (4-1); 8. Wadsworth (5-0); 9. Barberton (5-0) and 10. Stow (4-1).
