Rain could not dampen the spirits, or the performance, of the JV Blue golf squad on Thursday.
The JV Blue Cats defeated the Walsh Jesuit Warriors, 165-186, on a soggy day at Brookledge Golf Course.
Ian Shemo guided the Wildcats in impressive fashion. The freshman penciled in a score of 37, his +1 enough to earn medalist honors on a tough course.
Andrew Martin closely pursued Shemo, finishing the day with a score of 40. Matthew Giberti tabbed a 43 for the Wildcats to finish third on the team. William Doyle tallied a 45 in 9 holes, and Sean White rounded out the squad with a 47.
Head Coach Tom Bogen's men will receive a chance to rest over the weekend following today's match. Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin will provide the Wildcats' next challenge on Tuesday, as the Lions and Golf Cats will meet at Fowlers Mills Golf Course.
