Runners and parents,

In addition to the great course, the friendly volunteers, and the beautiful Glen Oak facility, the weather at race time was Mary Poppins-like, "practically perfect". The Wildcats sent two Varsity teams into the first race. The 'Cats were pumped and had no trouble covering the pace of the first mile. At the two mile, Liam, Brett, Nick, Matt and Nathan were in the hunt! Once the astroturf had settled on the final stretch on the football field; the Blue and Gold came up a little short behind Hudson and Massillon Jackson for a third place finish. Congrats to the following for PRs(and letters): Liam, Brett, Nick, Matt, Nathan, Steven Zucca, Logan, Jack Mayer, Charlie Rooney, Pat Krebs, Andrew Eicher, freshman Connor McAndrews 17:55, Nick Mulhern, and Owen Lammermeier. 

PRs from the Varsity B team were posted by Patrick Sullivan 18:06,  Peter Fitzpatrick 18:14, and Kartar Vig 18:24.

The JV/Open race was packed with over 400 runners. The start line seemed to stretch across the horizon. Once the 'Cats emerged from the scrum at the first mile, Andrew Biehl (coming off the 10 day disabled list and called back up from the AAA team), moved to the front and never looked back. He posted a winning time of 17:04. Elliot Rodstrom 18:08, Dillon Bangasser 18:21PR, Andrew Ulrich 18:23 PR, GT Moy 18:36PR, Andrew Chesney 18:50 and freshman Aidan Monroe 18:51 PR 

Elliot Rodstrom 18:08,Andrew Ulrich 18:23  GT Moy1 8:36 combined for 63 points for a second place finish behind Massillon Jackson. 

A big shout out to all the parents who came to support the team! Thanks to all the parents for providing the team post race food. 

After conferring with Marissa Mayer, (Jack and Mike) it was agreed that what we need at the remaining meets is MORE COWBELL! She will be coordinating this for the next meet!!

Monday: Labor Day Run on your won Workout TBA at practice on Friday
