The Rugby Cats are the No. 1 team in the nation, so it's fitting that a member of the rugby team receives Student-Athlete of the Week honors.

Chris Fedor has been honored as the Student-Athlete of the Week, thanks in part to his outstanding work on the pitch on Saturday.

The senior secured seven points for the Wildcats, converting a penalty kick and knocking in two critical conversions in an important 22-21 win over Cathedral Royal Irish (IN), the No. 2 club team in the country.

Fedor has played a critical role on the Wildcats' back line this season. As the team has battled injuries, Fedor has been a consistent and steadying force for the squad.

Fedor currently stands at second in the state with an impressive 67 total points scored (three tries, 23 conversions, and two penalty kicks).

The Wildcats stand at 11-1 heading into the week thanks to Fedor's play. The Rugby Cats will face Brunswick on the road on Wednesday and host No. 5 St. Edward on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Fedor will be heavily relied upon in both contests, especially against the Eagles.

Congratulations to Fedor and the Rugby Cats on this honor.
