Traveling to Columbus has become a theme for the Wildcats this season, as the swimming and diving squad became the third Saint Ignatius team to make a trek to Ohio's capital city.

The Aqua Cats enjoyed a solid weekend, defeating Upper Arlington on Friday evening before falling to a tough foe in St. Charles on Saturday.

See below for the full weekend wrap-up, courtesy of head swimming and diving coach Mike Lehto:

"[The Wildcats] gained a nice victory over Upper Arlington on Friday night winning the meet 95-85. Upper Arlington was a top five state team last year and should place in top five again this year.

"All three relay teams, 200 Medley, 200 Freestyle, and 400 Freestyle, came away with first place finishes. Dimitri Simcox besides being part of the winning 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle relays came out with two individual wins in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Other first places came in the 100 Freestyle by Cian O'Haimhirgin, and 100 backstroke with Marcus Hong.

"Other key swims were 2nd place finishes in the 100 butterfly from Cameron Marcie, 100 breaststroke with Nicky Hong, and the 200 and 500 freestyle by Joey Libertin.

"Next day we faced another top five team from last season, Columbus St Charles. We came up short losing 166-139

"The highlight of the meet was Marcus Hong's two individual win performance and two pool records. Marcus set pool records in the 100 butterfly and as a member of the 400 freestyle relay team. Marcus's other individual victory came in the 200 freestyle.

"Two other swimmers came away with wins. Joey Libertin in the 100 freestyle and Nicky Hong in the 100 breaststroke."
