From Saint Ignatius' Head Junior Varsity Lacrosse Coach Garen Distelhorst '96 and posted by Mr. Eddie Dwyer

Coach Distelhorst: Congratulations to Saint Ignatius Lacrosse senior midfielder, Brent Chernosky, on his recent commitment to Division 1 Bellarmine University.

Brent is a 2-year letter winner for the Lax Cats and this past season he was an integral member of the state runner-up team, scoring 14 goals and leading all midfielders with 13 assists.

This past summer, Brent was selected to the All Star team at the King of the Hill event and was a member of the Brine Ohio Team.

From the corner: The Lax Cats, who advanced to the Ohio High School Lacrosse Association State Championship Game last spring for the first time in the program's history, will be playing under the OHSAA banner in the spring of 2017 as Lacrosse has become a fully sanctioned state sport.
