The talent-laden Hilliard Davidson Invitational is also known as the "Wildcat Premier.''

On Saturday, a deep and gritty track team known as the Saint Ignatius Wildcats ran, jumped and tossed its way to first place in what is always one of Ohio's premier early season tests.

Depth was Saint Ignatius' calling card during last year's district and regional championship run, and that appears to be the case again this season. The 2011 'Cats, as 38-year head coach Chuck Kyle '69 predicted in the corner's preseason preview, will be a team that will score in several events at the big meets.

And Saint Ignatius did just that on Saturday in edging Medina, 125-112. Glenville was third with 93 points.

Here is a breakdown on some of the Wildcats' top performances.
