Tomorrow's (Wednesday) OHSAA sectional semifinal baseball game between the Saint Ignatius Wildcats and the Maple Heights Mustangs will be played at Baldwin-Wallace College at 4:30 p.m.

If the 'Cats are successful on Wednesday, they will return to Baldwin-Wallace on Thursday for a sectional-final matchup with the winner of the semifinal between Berea and Normandy. Thursday's game would also be a 4:30 first pitch.

Please note that if rainouts occur during OHSAA tournament play, the games, in most cases, are rescheduled for the very next day.

If Mother Nature is kind on Wednesday and Thursday, Saint Ignatius is scheduled to make the short trip to Lakewood Stadium on Friday night for a regular season game against the Rangers at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, the 'Cats are slated to return to Baldwin-Wallace for an all-levels regular season tripleheader against St. Edward. The respective freshmen teams will play at 10 a.m., followed by the junior varsity and varsity games.

The Saint Ignatius-St. Edward varsity game is listed as a 4 p.m. start, but I would advise getting their early on Saturday. Or better yet, be there from the start and support all three of the Wildcats' programs.

Rounding the corner and heading home.
