The Saint Ignatius Wildcats varsity football team moved from 17th to 14th in the weekly USA Today Super 25 Massey national rankings.

Cincinnati Colerain, the only other Ohio team in the Super 25, climbed two spots to 9th this week.

The Associated Press state rankings will released this evening and The Plain Dealer's Top 25 area poll will also be coming up later today.

This corner focuses on the Super 25 because, unlike other national rankings that one year say the Wildcats' run is over (summer of 2011) and then jump on the band wagon when the Wildcats win an 11th state championship, the Super 25 has a rich history and a credibility that goes back to Saint Ignatius' early state and national championship seasons.
