Here is Coach Mike Gallagher's weekly report on the Saint Ignatius cross country team, which is coming off a dominant first-place performance at the Strongsville District.

Congratulations to the Wildcats for the victory at the District Meet at Strongsville with 24 points!! Congrats to Joe Arquillo for his second place in 16:20. Joe was followed by Jack Miller 16:20, Luke Wagner 16.34, Vince Bartram 16:43, Pat Scanlon 16:48, Tim Trentel 17:01 and Elliot Thorkelson 17:06.

The Open race was won by Dylan Lynch in 16:50, followed by Jack Politowicz 17:24, Jack Fitzgerald 17:26, Jake Maier 17:36, Jeff Foerg 17:40, Tom Sullivan 18:10 and Matt Paponetti 19:25.

The Wildcats advanced to the Tiffin Regional this Saturday. Race time is 12:30 p.m.

Thanks to the team and all the parents for their support on a muddy, blustery day at the District meet.

For those attending the Walsh Meet, the bus will leave school at 3:00 p.m. The Freshman/Sophomore race is at 4:30 p.m. The Junior/Senior race is at 5:30 p.m.
