The Division I, Region 1 quarterfinal playoff game between the Saint Ignatius Wildcats and the Falcons from Austintown Fitch will be played as scheduled - Saturday night at 7 on Parma's Byers Field.

A court ruling on Friday that went in favor of Mayfield and Edgewood now has Mayfield playing St. Edward on Saturday at Byers Field at 1 p.m. (lights are out at Lakewood Stadium). Edgewood will face Brookfield tonight. Those were the original OHSAA playoff pairings before things got messy this week (see stories below).

This corner is glad it's over, especially IF the JFK-John Adams forfeit did indeed surface because the young man in question forgot to turn in his eligibility card.
