While our memorable 2012 varsity football season ended sooner than what we had all hoped for, I just wanted to thank the entire Saint Ignatius administration, Athletics Director Rory Fitzpatrick '88 and of course, Coach Chuck Kyle '69 and his entire staff, for the privilege to be associated with a team that was made up of not only exceptional players, but outstanding young men.

My biggest Thank You and Congratulations goes out to the parents, families and relatives of the 2012 Wildcats. As someone who was around the 2012 'Cats from the first day of mini camp in early June through Saturday night, let me just say you can be so proud.

And along those lines, let me one more time say THANK YOU to each and every member of the team for giving this old-time reporter memories I will cherish forever. Your kindness and respect gave me immeasurable strength and spirit.

God and the Saint Ignatius administration be willing, I will look forward to more football memories in 2013. To the seniors, however, know that you will always have my endless respect and will always have a special place among all of the other great Saint Ignatius teams that I was privileged to cover and report on.
