Leading, 1-0, entering the third period, Saint Ignatius' varsity hockey team ended up in a 2-2 tie against Olentangy Liberty in Saturday's second round of the Padua Holiday Tournament at OBM Arena in Ice Land USA.

Saint Ignatius entered the game tied for the top spot in the coaches' state poll with the Titans from St. John's Jesuit, whom the 'Cats defeated, 3-2, in Friday's opening round. Liberty was ranked eighth in the state this week.

The Ice Cats (8-2-3) will now face Toledo St. Francis at 3:30 today. The corner will have a wrapup on today's hockey action after the bus returns home from the Wildcats' varsity basketball encounter with the McKinley Bulldogs in Canton.
