Congratulations from the corner go out to seniors Jake Roth and Ty Sanda, whose outstanding play earned them spots on The Plain Dealer's 2012 All-Star Soccer Team, and we wish all of the best to Brian Hoyer '04, who is preparing to make his first NFL start on Sunday as the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona will be playing at San Francisco.

Here are some of the highlights from the seasons Jake and Ty put together.

A defender, Jake scored five goals and had nine assists for the 15-1-3 Wildcats, who allowed only 12 goals on the season. He was a first-team Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association selection.

A midfielder, Ty accounted for nine goals and nine assists this past fall. He was chosen as Mr. Soccer by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association and finished his outstanding career with 29 goals and 19 assists.
