Ice Cats slow those Mustangs down, 7-2, behind Miles McQuinn's four goals.

Saint Ignatius fires a barrage of shots at Strongsville sophomore keeper Philip Kitchen, who deserves a tip of the cap or a tap of the stick, take your choice.

First period: Goals by Jack Mazanec and Captain Miles McQuinn. Jack Weigandt and Brady Wells assisted on the Mazanec goal. Harry Smith assisted on the McQuinn goal.

Second period: McQuinn sends home 2 goals, with Kevin Yarcusko assisting on the first and Nick Gajkowski and Yarcusko providing the helpers on the second.

Third period: Assistant Captain Alex McNulty opened the third period scoring with a goal assisted by McQuinn. McQuinn scored his fourth goal off assists from McNulty and Mazanec.

Strongsville sophomore forward Robbie Berardi scored twice in the third period, only to watch Wiegandt close out the scoring with a goal courtesy of an Ethan Whitney assist.

Senior goalie Sean Williams made 14 saves for Saint Ignatius and it was reported that Kitchen saw 60 shots.

The Ice Cats will take a 14-4-3 record into Saturday's match up with University School at The Pond. The puck will drop at 4:20 p.m.
