The Wildcats are also in the thick of the Scratch Division race after they defeat Lutheran West this weekend behind Andy Maykut's impressive series.

Presented by Saint Ignatius head bowling coach John Kastanis and posted by Eddie Dwyer.

Here are the bowling results vs. Lutheran West High School in the tenth week of the bowling season.

There are three different categories.

1. Scratch - Wildcats win 5-2 (7 point total). The Wildcats' total pin fall for this category - 3056 (1017; 1060; 979) vs. Lutheran West High School (836; 911; 1016) - 2763.

2. Handicap - Wildcats win 4-3 (7 point total)

3. OHSAA - Wildcats win this 1-0 (1 point total). This win is based on the grand total of pin fall of scratch pins, plus the total of two baker games.

Lutheran West High School total pin fall - 3036/Wildcats total pin fall - 3424.

Our star bowlers for week 10: Senior Andy Maykut - 268; 287; 203 = Series Total 758 (Awesome). ****This series will be top for the league; Junior Anthony Giancola - 216; 212; 190 = Series Total 618 (Awesome). Also, Sophomore Garrett Forst 227 and Junior Billy Farr 219 contribute to the Wildcats' win.

FROM COACH KASTANIS: "Senior Andy Maykut started his first game with an awesome 268 and he began his second game starting with the first 10 strikes. I asked Andy after throwing his eleventh ball, leaving a seven pin fill, "How did it feel?" His comment was: 'Coach, my legs were shaking so much!' Andy has taken the number one spot for the high series in the league (Greater Cleveland Interscholastic League). With two weeks left I feel Andy will be rewarded the Hi Series Award this year.

"This past Saturday, first place St. Ed's and second place Olmsted Fall bowled one another," Coach Kastanis continued. "St. Ed's wins, 5-2, maintaining first place by three points ahead of our now second place Wildcats. With two weeks of the regular season remaining, we should have a good chance of taking first in the Scratch Division. With our win this past week we have clinched the Handicap Division."
