Coach Sean O'Toole's Wildcats are ranked eighth this week in the Associated Press Division I boys basketball state poll. The poll is based on the votes by a statewide panel of sports writers and broadcasters.

The Mentor Cardinals jumped from 10th to seventh place and Shaker Heights is now in the 11th spot. Here are the ranked teams with the first-place votes in parenthesis.
