The corner wishes all of the best to Coach Pat O'Rourke '90 and his varsity hockey team on Saturday afternoon, when the Ice Cats (21-4-3) take on the experienced and talented Shaker Heights Raiders at what Saint Ignatius Captain Miles McQuinn describes as one of the best, if not the best, hockey-rich venues in Ohio - the Thornton Park Ice Arena.

A 4:45 drop of the puck will get the action underway in a game in which the Ice Cats will be looking to secure their position for an outright championship in the Greater Cleveland High School Hockey League's Red North West Division.

Saint Ignatius, which defeated Shaker Heights in the teams' first meeting this season - 5-3 at Quicken Loans Arena on Dec. 15 - is currently on an 11-game winning streak and remains in the top spot in the coaches' state poll.

*NOTE TIME CHANGE ON GILMOUR GAME: Coach O'Rourke said Friday night's game at Gilmour Academy is now scheduled for 7:50 p.m. Again, the puck will drop at 7:50, not 6 as originally scheduled.
