Just a little sidenote or window dressing to Saturday's Baron Cup I semifinal between the Ice Cats and the Preppers from University School (see Where the 'Cats play post below). In the latest coaches state poll, Saint Ignatius and University School are ranked first and third, respectively.

Saint Ignatius head basketball coach Sean O'Toole '87 said today that his Wildcats will follow Friday night's headliner at St. Edward with a Saturday night game that will fill the void left by the Perrysburg cancellation. In what will be a varsity only matchup, the Wildcats will face the Lakers from Max S. Hayes at 6:30 in Sullivan Gym.

****And last, but certainly not least, this corner would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Saint Ignatius' devoted varsity basketball manager Patrick Gibbons. The sports savvy "Gibby" turns 18 on Friday.
