NOTE: Sunday's OHSAA Northeast Sectional competition was held at the Rebman Recreation Center in Lorain, Ohio.

FROM COACH KASTANIS: "Our Saint Ignatius Wildcats came up 31 pins short for the advancement to
District. It was frustrating to see the pin carry was not there, after all said and done to see 31 pins made the difference.

"We do have one individual advancing, junior Anthony Giancola. Anthony shoots 244;229;195 for a 668 Series, the third best series. Anthony will be bowling next Sunday in Warren, Ohio at Crest Bowling Alley."

JUST A REMINDER that the corner will be at the John M. Coyne Recreation Center in Brooklyn on Monday evening to report on Coach Pat O'Rourke's varsity hockey team (27-5-3) as it begins its run for the Brooklyn District Championship against the Shoremen from Avon Lake. The puck will drop at 6 bells.

On Tuesday night, we will post our weekly varsity basketball preview. Coach Sean O'Toole's Wildcats look to close out their regular season on a 10-game winning streak. The 'Cats (16-3) face John Adams on Wednesday (4 p.m.) at Quicken Loans Arena, Senate champ Glenville pays a visit to Sullivan Gym on Friday night and the Benedictine Bengals come calling to the Sully on Saturday night.

And later week we will present the corner's Where the 'Cats play, as we take a look at another big weekend in Saint Ignatius athletics.
