As any reporter will tell you, you can't assume anything. That said, I have to respond to one of the corner's faithful readers - Mr. Teglas, a.k.a. "How are things on the West Coast?" - with a Yes when asked if Coach Sean OToole's varsity basketball Wildcats will finish No. 1 when The Plain Dealer's final regular season Top 25 seven-county poll is released today or this evening.

The corner's choice for a strong second is Shaker Heights, but we'll have to wait and see. Saint Ignatius entered the final week of the regular season at No. 1 and took care of business against Glenville and Benedictine.
