Anthony McLaughlin wins his quarterfinal match.Tommy Zeigler losses a tough quarterfinal decision, but he wins his Consolation 2 match.

Saint Ignatius' gifted 170-pound junior Anthony McLaughlin defeated Matthew Walker of Hilliard Darby, 7-6, in Friday afternoon's quarterfinal round of the OHSAA Individual State Wrestling Tournament in Value City Arena.

Anthony advances to tonight's semifinals, where he will wrestle Tyler Hughes of Brunswick. The Division I semifinals are scheduled for 6:30.

Wildcats standout 126-pound senior Tommy Zeigler lost a tough 3-2 decision to Bobby Smith of Hilliard Davidson in his quarterfinal match.

However, Tommy bounced back to win his Consolation Round 2 match, defeating Matt Sicurella of Cincinnati Glen Este, 5-1. Jim Ferritto lost a decision in his Consolation Round 2 match, 9-7sv to Greg Brusco of Delaware Hayes.

The tip off from Solon High School is 6 bells and the game will be broadcast live over the Saint Ignatius Student Broadcasting Network.
