Just a reminder that Coach Sean O'Toole's top-seeded varsity basketball Wildcats (20-3) will face Coach Andy Suttell's fourth-seeded Cleveland Heights Tigers (16-6) tomorrow (Wednesday) night in a Division I District Semifinal match up at Solon High School. The area's high school headliner will tip off at 7.

For a preview on the second encounter between the Wildcats and the Tigers this season, see the corner's story below that was posted on Monday morning. Saint Ignatius defeated Cleveland Heights on the Tigers' Cappelletti Court, 58-54, on Feb. 14.

If you can't make it to the game, seniors John Fanta and Greg Ziton will provide live coverage over the Saint Ignatius Student Broadcasting Network.

We look forward to seeing a great supporting role by the Saint Ignatius Student Body on Inwood Road tomorrow night.

And again, the corner congratulates Coach O'Toole '87, Francisco Santiago, Derek Sloan, Eric Black, Alec Papesch and Kyle Berger for the honors they received on the Associated Press 2012-13 All-Northeast Lakes District Basketball Team, with Coach O'Toole and "Cisco" garnering Coach of the Year and Player of the Year honors in Division I, and Derek joining "Cisco" as a first-team selection. *See the corner's story below on the All-District Team.

LET'S GET READY TO RUG----BY!!!: Under the direction of head Coach Dan Arbeznik '00, Saint Ignatius' Rugby program will begin its inaugural season as a varsity sport on Saturday at The Ohio State University.

The Wildcats' Varsity A Team will take on South Eastern (Indiana) at 1 p.m. In their second game, the A 'Cats will match their strength and grit with Cathedral (Indiana) at 4 p.m.

As for the Varsity B Team, it's bring on Penn (Indiana) at noon and then Brownsburg (Indiana) at 3 p.m.

Rugby becomes the 16th varsity sport at the Jesuit Preparatory School in Ohio City. Currently, the Ohio High School Athletic Association does not include Rugby among its sanctioned sports.

Previously a club sport, the program has attracted the attention of more than 200 current students. With a coaching staff of 21, including many alumni, the Rugby program will field 4 teams: varsity, junior varsity, developmental and freshmen.

Good Luck and God Bless from the corner to all of the Wildcats competing in Rugby, now and in the future, and all of the best to Coach Arbeznik and his staff.
