Saint Ignatius' lacrosse team opened its 2013 season on a positive note Thursday evening by defeating host University School, 9-7.

The Wildcats made themselves at home in the early going at Hunting Valley, as they moved to a five-goal lead through the first half.

US made things interesting down the stretch before Garrett Joseph provided an insurance goal with just over a minute remaining.
