A huge congratulations goes out to senior Patrick Gibbons, who shared with the corner on Thursday evening that he will be furthering his education at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa.

Patrick, who last month was the recipient of the prestigious Coaches Cup from Wildcats Head Basketball Coach Sean O'Toole '87 for his endless devotion as Coach O'Toole's Team Manager, said he chose Mercyhurst after also considering Cleveland State University and Baldwin Wallace University.

A young man who truly represents Saint Ignatius' motto of ''Men For Others," Patrick has one of the most knowledgeable sports minds this veteran reporter has ever come across. He truly loves Saint Ignatius, Cleveland and the Indians, Cavaliers and Browns.
