Sculling Teams make history!

Posted By Eddie Dwyer and Presented by Wildcats Head Crew Coach Patrick Connor '94.

This past weekend, the Wildcat Rowers traveled to Michigan to compete in the St. Mary's Invitational against 17 other teams.

The Lightweights led the day, medaling in both their 4 and 8 man races. The Freshmen medaled with their usual solid performance, and the sculling teams had a breakthrough performance earning their first-ever gold medal.

This week the Wildcats are preparing for the largest Midwest Championship Regatta in history, with 48 teams from seven countries entering over 500 boats to compete for the Midwest Title (see "Where the 'Cats play" below).

Saint Ignatius is putting together its largest effort ever, with entries in almost every race, including the sculling races.
