Brooklyn, Ohio - Saint Ignatius Athletics Director Rory Fitzpatrick '88 told the corner today that he has secured a 10th game for the Wildcats' 2013 football season.

Coach Chuck Kyle's Wildcats will face Pinehurst (St. Catharines Ontario, Canada) on Saturday Nov. 2 at Parma's Byers Field. The kickoff will be 7 p.m. Pinehurst School is the Academic Provider for the Canada Prep Football Academy.

Pinehurst (Canada Prep Football Academy) is also playing Steubenville in what will be an early season encounter and, like Saint Ignatius, has a game scheduled against Brother Rice.

Rory said much of the credit for securing a Week 10 game goes out to Wildcats veteran offensive coordinator Nick Restifo. In studying schedules from all over the nation, Nick saw that Pinehurst (Canada Prep Football Academy) was open Week 10 and quickly informed Rory.

Rory and the football staff did an exceptional job of filling a schedule that back in the late winter had five open dates.

The new teams on the Wildcats' 2013 slate are Brother Rice from Michigan (Week 1), Paramus Catholic from New Jersey (Week 5), Lawrence Central from Indiana (Week 6), Eastern Christian Academy from Maryland (Week 7) and now Pinehurst School (Canada Prep Football Academy) (Week 10).

Rounding out the schedule are Mentor (Week 2), Erie (Pa.) Strong Vincent (Week 3), Erie (Pa.) McDowell (Week 4), St. Edward (Week 8) and St. Xavier (Week 9).

With the exception of the Week 1, Aug. 31 game against Brother Rice at Wayne State University, the other four new teams on Saint Ignatius' schedule have agreed to travel to Byers Field. The Wildcats have seven "home" games this season, with one of them - versus St. Xavier - being played in Don Shula Stadium on the campus of John Carroll University. The other away games are at Mentor and versus St. Edward in First Federal Lakewood Stadium.
