Coach Dan Arbeznik's rugby program had a memorable summer, as the Wildcats' Rugby 7's team entered the state tournament as the No.1 overall seed and went on to defeat Westerville in the championship match. Rugby 7's is the format that will be played in the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

En route to bringing home the state cup, the Wildcats took down Brunswick in the semifinals. The state championship was the culmination of four weeks of competition.

In addition to the state cup, Saint Ignatius standout Michael Mathews garnered Player of the Year honors.

Congratulations to Michael, Coach Arbeznik '00 and the entire Saint Ignatius Rugby Program!
