Coach Mike Gallagher's cross country program, ranked sixth in this week's state poll by the Coaches Association and coming off a first-place performance at the Panther 2-Mile Run in Sandusky, will be competing in Saturday's Avon Lake Early Bird Invitational at Lorain County Community College. The race is scheduled for 9 AM.

Coach Brian Becker's varsity golf team, which brought home the championship at last weekend's prestigious University School Invitational, is scheduled to compete in the Archbishop Hoban Invitational on Sunday at the Firestone Country Club. The tee-off time is listed as 1:30 PM.

As we reported in last night's game story on Saint Ignatius soccer, Coach Mike McLaughlin's Wildcats will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Hudson.
