Wildcats golfers finish second at the Walsh Jesuit tournament.

From Coach Becker: The varsity golf team competed in the Walsh Jesuit "Tradition Golf Classic" at Brookledge Golf Course today. The team finished in second place behind the host team Walsh Jesuit. The Wildcats shot a respectable round of 308 with all 5 players scoring in the 70's, while Walsh turned in a 304.

Saint Ignatius was led by a pair of super sophomores, Harrison Vonderau, who shot a 75, and Michael Vallee, who shot 77.

The Wildcats will be back in action on Sunday, when the travel to Hawthorne Valley Country Club to compete in the Gilmour Academy Invitational.

****Here are Saturday's top three scores out of 24 teams and Saint Ignatius' individual scores: 1. Walsh Jesuit 304, 2. Saint Ignatius 308 and 3. St. Edward 313.

The 'Cats' scores: 1. Harrison Vonderau (soph) 75; 2. Michael Vallee (soph) 77; 3. Kevin Duncan (jr) 78; 4. Jack Coyne (sr) 78 and 5. PJ Malik (sr) 79.
