Saint Ignatius' golf team finishes second at the Gilmour Academy Invitational.

FROM COACH BECKER: The varsity golf team finished a successful weekend with another 2nd place finish. The Wildcats finished second to Walsh Jesuit for the second straight day, this time at Sunday's Gilmour Academy Invitational at Hawthorne Valley Country Club.

Saint Ignatius' team score of 319 on Sunday was good for second place out of twenty teams. The Wildcats were led by junior Kevin Duncan, who shot a solid round of 74 to finish in second place overall, while sophomore Owen Miklos chipped in with a strong round of 78.

Saint Ignatius will be back in action on Saturday, when they take on St. Edward and University School in a tri-match at Pine Hills. On Monday, Sept. 16, the Wildcats will travel to Canterbury Country Club to compete in Cleveland's finest high school tournament, The Kiley Cup.
