In a game that was just added to the schedule today, Saint Ignatius' freshman football team will play the freshmen Tarblooders from Glenville on Thursday night at Wasmer Field. The kick off in atmosphere-rich Ohio City will be 6:30.

The addition of Glenville now gives the 6-1 Freshmen 'Cats a full 10-game slate. Coach Rodney Gallaway will send his talented ninth graders against Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep on October 24 at Wasmer Field (5:30 kick off) and the freshmen will wrap up their inaugural season as Wildcats when they travel to St. Edward for a 5 PM kickoff on Oct. 30.

Coach Chuck Kyle's Varsity Football Wildcats are ranked 11th in this week's Associated Press Division I state poll and they are 12th in the Region 1 ratings by computer playoff guru Joe Eitel. The official OHSAA computer ratings will be released on Tuesday afternoon. Under the new two-region Division I playoff format, the top 16 teams in each region at the end of the regular season will qualify for the OHSAA playoffs.
