Saint Ignatius varsity baseball mainstay Joe Khoury '14 has committed to play America's Pastime at Mount Union College next year.

Joe, whose clutch hits and Vic Power-like moves around first base helped the Wildcats to a Division I state runner-up finish this past spring, becomes nearly the 60th player in Coach Brad Ganor's program to have the opportunity to play baseball at the next level.

For those of you too young to recall Vic Power, he was one of the flashiest first baseman in the history of Major League baseball. Vic played for the Indians among others and had a MLB career that included seven consecutive Gold Glove awards. The late Power also turned two unassisted double plays in one game and stole home plate twice in one game.

Congratulations from the corner go out to Joe, his family, Coach Ganor and the entire Saint Ignatius baseball program.
