Ohio City - Saint Ignatius Athletics Administrator Rory Fitzpatrick '88 told the corner on Friday that he has secured a Week 7 game against Erie (Pa.) McDowell for 2014. It is a two-year contract that will have the Wildcats hosting McDowell in 2014 at Byers Field and traveling to Erie in 2015.

Coach Chuck Kyle's Wildcats now have three openings for 2014 - Weeks 3, 4 and 6. Rory is burning the midnight oil trying to fill those dates. Under the OHSAA football playoff system, you must have at least eight regular season games in order to be part of the postseason computer qualifying system.

Week 1 - At Indianapolis Lawrence Central; Week 2 - Versus Mentor at Byers Field; Weeks 3 and 4 - Open; Week 5 - At New Jersey Paramus Catholic; Week 6 - Open; Week 7 - Versus Erie McDowell at Byers Field; Week 8 - Versus two-time defending Division I state champion Archbishop Moeller at Dublin Coffman High School; Week 9 - At St. Xavier; Week10 - Versus St. Edward at Byers Field.
