COACH VIETS:

Tuesday Jan 5th in a make up with Olmsted Falls, the Varsity went out and won 5-2, and also won the OHSAA point. Ralph Deadwyler 652 and Austin Venczel 651 led the Alley Cats to victory.

Saturday January 9th in a rematch with Benedictine, the Alley Cats entered the match down 3 points in the scratch division. After defeating Benedictine 5-2 a tie in the standings was to be determined by a best of 3 baker match.

It only took Saint Ignatius 2 games to dismantle the Bengals as they won each of the baker games by 30 pins. Cedric Crawford's 247 game, 659 series and Ralph Deadwyler's 236, 649 series led the way.

The win made Saint Ignatius the scratch Division 1 winner and sets the Alley Cats up for a match with Lutheran West on 1/23 for the GCIBL Scratch Championship.

Next week, the Keglers face off at Buckeye Lanes against Westlake for the handicap Div. 1 title on Saturday and travel to Wickliffe on Sunday 1/17 for Brush High School's Tournament.

The JV's were off this week as there was a bye in the schedule. They continue to lead the league in the scratch standings. Vinny Doran 180 and Nick Frank 180 are leading the team. Devin Venczel has seen action at both JV and Varsity, as his average has climbed to 194.
