FROM COACH VIETS: Last week versus Westlake, the Varsity continued its hot bowling as the Alley Cats set a new season scratch high of 1115. By taking seven points they stayed in a four-way tie in the OHSAA standings.

Last Sunday they finished a very respectable 3rd in a tournament in Wickliffe.

This week in the scratch championship versus Lutheran West, the Alley Cats turned in another fine performance as they knocked off the Longhorns for the title. Leading the way was Gianni Schaefer, with his highest series
ever, 222,248,237 for a 707. Also chipping in was steady Ralph Deadwyler with a 641. The win puts the Wildcats in a 3-way tie for OHSAA with Padua and Garfield Heights.

Sunday the team traveled down South and ran into a very hot team out of Kettering. After matching shots all afternoon, the Wildcats ended up in second place in the tournament.

Ralph Deadwyler 208, Devin Venczel 196, Cedric Crawford 195, Gianni Schaefer 189, Anthony Doran 187, and Austin Venczel 185 are leading the team.

The Junior Varsity continues to lead the league in scratch and OHSAA. In Saturday's match against Benedictine, the junior bowlers were led by Freshman Vinny Doran's 259, 623 series. Nizar Dergham came off the bench in game 3 for his highest game of the year, as he helped the team sweep the Bengals.
