Saint Ignatius junior standout Josh Hsia will represent the Wildcats at next weekend's OHSAA State Tennis Tournament!

Posted By Mr. Eddie Dwyer with Josh's performance courtesy of Saint Ignatius' outstanding Assistant Coach and Head Junior Varsity Coach Cindy Reagan.

Josh, who had to battle back today in order to earn a spot in the State Tournament, grabbed the fifth of the six singles qualifying spots from the always demanding Oberlin District.

Saturday's Oberlin College District Finals were held at Tri-City Park in Rocky River because of the graduation ceremony at Oberlin College.

The 97th annual OHSAA Boys State Tournament will take place on May 27th and 28th at the Linder Family Center in Mason, Ohio. Play will begin each day at 9 AM.

FROM CINDY REAGAN: "Josh Hsia played Aaron Yeh from Brecksville-Broadview Heights. Josh secured a ticket to the state tournament by winning 6-1, 6-2. Josh was to play Vlad Rotnov from Solon High School next, but Rotnov retired due to injury. Josh enters the state tournament as a 5 seed from the Northeast District."

Congratulations to Josh go out from this corner and we wish him all of the best as he represents Head Coach Jon Barker's outstanding program in next weekend's state tournament.
