For the first minutes of the game, neither team could seem to gain an edge. the ball went back and forth across the field, with nobody seeming to be able to put the ball in.

Finally, with 25:29 on the clock for the first half, Will Armsworthy was able to find a cross to Ashton Daher, who put it in the goal. The Wildcats would go up 1-0.

That goal seemed to get something going for the Cats, as three minutes later, with 22:01, Xavier Munro was able to score. 2-0 Wildcats.

After a string of unfortunate events, and a couple of misplays from the Wildcats, the Eagles scored, 8:26 was left in the half.

At halftime, Coach Jim Brennan ‘85 talked about calming down, and playing more methodically.

Starting out the second half, both teams showed excellent defense, with neither offense could seem to penetrate them.

With 11:51, Will Armsworthy was able to just about put the game out of the Eagles’ reach, when he was able to sneak the ball past the goalkeeper, who had overextended.

The JV A Cats would go on to win 3-1. They advance to 4-0 on the season. They will play this Friday, September 18th, at 5:30, against St. John’s Jesuit.
