Two Wildcats will be headed to Orlando in the first week of December.

Kyle Healy has been selected to participate in the High School All-American Game and Head Soccer Coach Mike McLaughlin '85 has been chosen to coach the all-star game.

Healy and McLaughlin will represent not just Saint Ignatius, but Northeast Ohio in the contest.

Healy is one of 38 top high school senior soccer players from across the country picked to play in the game. Healy will play on the "West" squad, as the game has an East vs. West format. Healy's side has 19 student-athletes from 10 states, including four others from Ohio (representing St. Xavier, St. Charles Prep, New Albany, and Archbishop Moeller).

Healy is the only player from Northeast Ohio participating in the contest.

As a team captain, Healy has served as a key leader on and off the field for the Wildcats this season. On the field, Healy has played a crucial role as a midfielder, providing opportunistic offense and smart defense. Healy stands third on the team with 10 goals and tied for second on the squad with 5 assists. The senior has 25 points on the season, behind only Matthew McLaughlin (49) and Bryce Horton (29).

Mike McLaughlin will coach the game yet again this season. The longtime Wildcats' mentor has coached each game dating back to 2011. At Saint Ignatius, McLaughlin has a remarkable 407-51-51 record and a .850 winning percentage.

McLaughlin, in his 24th season, will be looking to lead the Soccer Cats to the program's ninth state title this week. The Wildcats will play Medina on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at North Ridgeville for the right to play for the state title on Saturday at MAPFE Stadium in Columbus.

The High School All-American Game will be broadcast on TopDrawerSoccer.com at 1 p.m. on December 1.
