Soccer Cats Begin Playoffs with a Win over Parma

The playoffs are underway for the Saint Ignatius varsity soccer team. The Wildcats started off the journey with a bang.

The Wildcats took on the Parma Redmen on Saturday night at Wasmer field. The Wildcats defeated the Redmen, 12-1, in the Sectional Final.

The Wildcat offense was unstoppable in the lopsided match. The team passed the ball up and down the field with ease.

Henry Curtis had a great day, notching a hat trick. The senior finished with with 3 goals and 1 assist on the day. Matthew McLaughlin also did quite well, scoring 2 goals for the Cats.

Gavan Richards tallied his first of the season. Other goal-scorers included Everett Shorey, Ryan Roberts, Kyle Healy, Bryce Horton, Alex Pauer, and Nick Russo.

The defense played a great game,as Parma barely had the ball on the Ignatius half.

The Parma goal came middle of the second half. The match ended early, immediately after Parma scored.

The Soccer Cats will on St. Edward this Wednesday October 24 at Wasmer Field in the District Semifinal. We hope to see you there!
